This position requires a superior level of Project Management in Transmission Control Protocol / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) networking convergence and interoperability solutions for enterprises. The successful candidate will be responsible for successful execution of a network remediation program for a large enterprise network. Responsibilities include performing regular and effective communications of status, issues, risks and actions among all persons and parties involved in the project.  Develop, maintain and monitor project plans.  Ensure project timelines and metrics are maintained.  Conduct project status meetings with business owners and sub teams.  Create, distribute and maintain appropriate project documentation.

 Strong oral / written skills are required in order to effectively work in a collaborative manner on a large complex project.  Strong operational understanding of full lifecycle management of large projects including audit, MOP preparation, installation, integration, testing of network cut-overs are a must.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as PM for large Enterprise network remediation.
  • Track multiple projects across geographically diverse teams. 
  • Have a working knowledge of TCP/IP networks.
  • Experience in lifecycle management of network.
  • Primary interface to customer.
  • Conduct Status meeting with customer and sub-teams.

Must possess and display a superior level of project management experience that provides Internet Protocol (IP) networking convergence and inter-operability solutions for enterprises.  Specifically the following:

  • Project Manager with 5- 8 years, in TCP/IP networks and life cycle management.
  • Knowledge of Ethernet switching layer 2 protocols.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP routing layer 3 protocols.
  • Manage project milestone and budget objectives.
  • Initiates, supports and participates in negotiations with prospective customers.
  • Analyzes situations and develops plans, delivery timelines and schedules.                                                                  
  • Define customer requirements and translate them into operational plans.                                                     
  • Monitors and controls cost versus budget, plans versus performance and staffing requirements.
  • Analyzes effects of project upon various operating and support areas such as operations, engineering, purchasing, administration, etc.
  • Provides direction and guidance to project teams and management in the execution of projects including the formation of contingency plans, such as schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, funding allocations, and priority alignment.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in IT and/or any combination of experience and education which meet the job requirements
