Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia seeks a Director of Business and Industry Services for the service area. Job duties include, but are not limited to: development of business relationships, workforce development, and consulting and training; management of existing business and industry training, consulting, and testing services; development, marketing, and management of technical seminars; identification of service needs; customization of service plans; coordination of  state economic development incentive programs including Quick Start services; coordination of staff, adjunct faculty, and related services; evaluation of outcomes; maintenance of cost effective operations; and general marketing of institutional economic development services.

The minimum of at least a bachelor's degree in business management, industrial management, engineering, human resources management or a closely related field is required. Master's degree preferred.  Three (3) years of administrative and supervisory experience in industry, government or the military is required.Strong knowledge of both manufacturing environments and service industries is essential. Experience with state economic development incentive programs, participation in economic prospect activities, coordination with state and local economic developers, and knowledge of the Quick Start program, either as a provider or recipient is a plus. Completion of the Certified Economic Developer Trainer (CEDT) program and teaching at the collegiate level is a plus. Successful experience with the design, development and implementation of customized training programs is preferred.
