Job Description

The Manager, Marketing is responsible for marketing strategies and programs within Aptean's Asia Pacific (APAC) geography and manages all field marketing staff within this region. The selected candidate can be located in any APAC city in which Aptean maintains an office.  The Manager, Marketing is responsible for maintaining awareness of all programs and collateral available from corporate and translating/localizing for his or her region, in addition to developing and implementing localized programs and content specific to the region.

In general, the Manager, Marketing is responsible for program plan and budget; lead generation and marketing program execution; and program evaluation and measurement for all products in the Aptean portfolio applicable to his or her geography.  This role also provides significant marketing communications support for all sales tools and collateral production, as well as product launches.

  • Program Strategy, Planning & Budgeting
    • Work closely with corporate to understand the strategy/plan/roadmaps for the product lines globally, as well as identify repeatable and reusable programs/tactics/deliverables for the region.
    • Develop the strategy/plan for lead generation, marketing deliverables and marketing programs to support the financial/sales goals of product line(s) in the geography.
    • Align and coordinate budget and resources to support the plan using vendor, budget and project management skillset.
  • Lead Generation and Program Execution
    • Coordinate and deliver all content and deliverables across all lead generation program types, including internet marketing, search engine marketing, event marketing, telemarketing, direct mail marketing, e-mail marketing, etc.
    • Stay well-informed on marketing trends and emerging technologies, especially internet marketing and lead generation, to incorporate into the strategy for optimizing the company’s marketing investment.
    • Direct internal and external marketing resources by managing projects with third party vendors and internal marketing specialists.
    • Interface with sales and sales development to roll out and launch lead generation programs for follow-up and reporting.
  • Program Evaluation and Measurement
    • Analyze and report on marketing metrics and program effectiveness via weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and social operating mechanisms, as defined by VP, WW Marketing.
  • Product Marketing Support
    • Provide support on messaging/creative, copywriting/editing, graphic design/layout, and localization/translation for all product line collateral and sales tool development, as prioritized and defined by product marketing. Typical collateral and sales tools include: brochures, data sheets, case studies, whitepapers, direct marketing pieces, presentations, webcasts, e-mail blasts, and multimedia demos/advertisements.
    • Provide support on program strategy/plan, messaging/creative, copywriting/editing, graphic design/layout, and localization/translation for all product launch activities, as prioritized and defined by product marketing.
  • Minimum 5+ years work experience
  • B.S. degree or equivalent; preferred marketing or communications degree.
  • Familiar with B2B sales and marketing techniques and/or previous work experience in the software/IT sector.
  • Experience managing marketing teams and budgets. 
  • Fluency in all or most languages applicable to the geography.
  • Excellent command of the English language both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, as well as work non-traditional hours to accommodate multiple time zones.
  • Familiar with AP/journalistic style and marketing communications writing styles for multiple mediums.
  • Strong knowledge of internet marketing tools and strategies.
  • Proficiency in HTML.
  • Familiar with CRM based sales and marketing reporting preferred.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Writing samples required.
  • Experience managing staff.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to drive projects within a cross-functional team and work well under deadlines.
