Job Description

Routh Crabtree Olsen, P.S.  an industry leading specialty law firm, is currently looking for a Bankruptcy Paralegal for our Bellevue Office!

RCO specializes in the representation of financial institutions, substantial investors, title insurers, housing authorities and select businesses in all matters related to licensing, servicing, mortgage banking, consumer finance, special credits, title insurance, real estate finance, and the enforcement of mortgage loans.

The Bankruptcy Paralegal will be responsible for supporting one or more Attorneys in case management of active Bankruptcy files.  This includes reviewing or drafting pleadings, communicating with clients and managing a high volume of duties. Responsibilities also include preparing correspondence, reviewing local rules and statutes, retrieving documents, and communication with internal and external clients.


  • Review Motions and Pleadings for accuracy that are drafted by the BK Specialists
  • Learn, interpret, and apply client expectations and maintain client relationships
  • Review and Direct the work of a team of Bankruptcy Specialists
  • Liaise with clients through various systems (VendorScape, LPS, or others)
  • Oversight and Responsibility for 500+ files
  • Resolve hearings with outside counsel and clients to manage attorney calendars
  • Communicate with attorneys, clients, third parties (such as homeowners) and outside counsel
  • Other duties as assigned from management
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one year office related experience, preferably in busy legal setting within the mortgage banking or real estate fields
  • High proficiency with computers and technology
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Familiarity with file processing
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to self direct
  • Organized
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively
  • Experience working with a high volume case load
  • Ability to multi task
  • Experience working with attorneys preferred
  • Previous industry experience preferred
  • Paralegal certification a plus
