Job Description

 SUPERVISES:

 GENERAL FUNCTIONS:

This position will perform basic systems and network administration/support on Windows 2003-2012 server platforms and Cisco Routing/Switching for multiple data centers and branches. The candidate will work closely with existing team members and with the Support, Development, and Data Services teams supporting full project life cycles in high availability tiered environments.

 PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Perform/Assist in systems/network administration tasks including server build out, operating systems deployment and upgrades, application deployment and updates, operating system patching, documentation, backup and recovery.
  2. Will assist with operating system and application performance tuning and capacity planning as well as other capacity planning.
  3. Will provide support for Microsoft Windows Server OS, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), Cisco Networking, ATM’s and the I3 Phone System Work requires 24x7 support for production systems.
  4. Will perform various administration functions from our Lenexa Kansas and Blue Springs office in support of multiple data centers.
  5. Provides assistance to other team members and vendors involved in the overall support of enterprise applications
  6. Serves as 3rd level support resource for escalated server/network/application issues
  7. Professional and friendly interaction with members and staff.  Demonstrate behaviors that are consistent with the credit union’s values.
  8. Work with other credit union departments to insure the workflow or process is providing the best service to the members.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills/Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  1. Working knowledge in Active Directory, MS Exchange, Cisco Networking, MS System Center, DNS, DFS, and IIS.
  2. Solid documentation, communication skills, and project planning
  3. Ability to plan, multitask, and prioritize work in a fast changing environment
  4. Must be able to work in a team environment
  5. Must be detail oriented with ability to maintain and organize workloads.
  6. Must be able to maintain highly confidential information.
  7. Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
  8. Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.
  9. Knowledge of spreadsheet software and ability to use word processing software.

 PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

In this position, individual will be expected to lift up to 50 pounds from time to time. Also, must be able to stoop, bend, reach or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time. Additionally the individual must be able to distinguish different cable colors.

 WORKING CONDITIONS:

This position is expected to work in general office environment and may have to travel for visits to other credit union facilities or for training purposes.

 EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

4yr degree in computer science or related field. MCP, Network+, A+ certifications, CCNA are advantageous
