This position is primarily responsible for the assessment of residents' health status and the development of a comprehensive plan of care utilizing all appropriate health care professionals and services. The RN Clinic Nurse’s contribution to that assessment is the evaluation of those functional deficits and lifestyle adaptions, chronic and acute illness as well as those normative changes in aging that have imposed upon the elderly individual. The Clinic Nurse functions as a primary care nurse. Primary Care consists of an individual's first contact in any given episode of illness with health care services that leads to decisions that must be made to help resolve the individual's problem, and the responsibility of the continuum of care. 

The schedule for this position is evening hours with every other Saturday commitment. 

1. Must have current RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia or Compact State.
2. Must be a graduate of an accredited Associate or BSN Program.
3. Active CPR certification upon hire preferred.
4. Previous experience working in a long term care setting required; 3 years minimum experience required           5. Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with residents, staff and family members.
6. Basic computer skills preferred.
7. Excellent ability to read, write, speak and comprehend the English language.

Shift:  12noon - 8:30pm and possibly 3pm to 11pm; must work every other Saturday
