Job Description

Reports to:  Quality Manager

Position Summary:  Senior level position responsible for ensuring the highest degree of product quality is achieved via current manufacturing processes. Performs inspection methods for the entire shop.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates customers and their inspector’s schedule and activities while at our facilities
  • Performs in-process inspections on piping as well as all types of fabrication, welding and assembly.
  • Interprets drawings, customer specifications and standards of any complexity
  • Possesses computer skills
  • Addresses quality issues related to non-conforming material or components, and obtain timely disposition in order to maintain production flow
  • Has deep knowledge of ASME, ANSI, ASNT, ASTM, AWS, NACE, API, ASIC and SSPC national codes
  • Seeks change through continuous process improvements and an actively contributes to the teamwork concepts

Required Skills or Tools:

  • AWS – Certified Welding Inspector required
  • Must possess Level II UT Certification
  • Bi-lingual a plus.

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (preferred)
  • Twelve to fifteen years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Phased array and TOFD equipment.

Physical Strain:

  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
