The Quality Assurance Lead works and leads the team, with other team members, on web-based applications to test, identify and write test plans, and automate application testing. The Lead also ensures team productivity and quality per expectations and schedule.
Responsibilities
Provide essential support to team to ensure the quality of the product
Work closely within the team and across teams
Understand the functionality of entire product, can take ownership of the team, and allocated features of the product
Reviews the function specifications document for product
Identify and review test cases and ensure test case documents are updated
Execute test cases, identify bugs, evaluate bugs in term of priority and severity, and report bugs
Provide recommendations for enhancing product features
Ensure allocated assignments for team are completed on schedule
Have leadership skills and handle adverse situations, takes charge in exceptional situations
Skills/Requirements
Education, Training and Minimum Qualifications
BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline preferred
At least 8 years of experience in testing web-based products/projects with 3-year experience as test lead
Knowledge of testing processes, different types of testing, testing tools, testing strategies
Knowledge of Windows operating system, ASP, RDBMS Oracle, MS-SQL server, automation testing tools, bug tracking tools
Strong logical problem-solving ability, good communication skills, inter personal skills, leadership skills, team building, team management, exception handling, and the ability to work in a team environment.
