About the Position: The Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems (CSE) is looking for a Data Acquisition Systems Engineer Fellow to join its Building Energy Efficiency Group to contribute to its ongoing work to evaluate the performance of novel high-performance building envelop systems, home energy management technologies, and behavior studies of residential energy use. This is an opportunity to participate in exciting R&D projects within a new Fraunhofer center based in Cambridge, MA focused on sustainable energy technology development. Felowship positions typically last for 6 months, but longer durations can also be accommodated. Many Fellows go on to find successful employment because of the practical experience acquired at Fraunhofer CSE. You will assist in the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of field Data Acquisition systems that incorporate automatic data transfer to remote data warehouse and pre-process data into relevant information required for research projects. The project presents excellent opportunity to learn about and gain hands-on experience with bringing data acquisition systems, network interfaces, automated data analysis tools, and visual & programmatic interfaces from concept through development and into deployment.
