We are looking for driven and dynamic individuals interested in pursuing an application security consulting position that have prior hands-on programming or security experience in a customer support role. The Security Consultant will work in the Client Services organization within Veracode.
Responsibilities:
Play a critical role in the customer and prospect relationship life cycle.
Introduce new customers to the use of the service and the presentation and interpretation of results from the Veracode service to various stake-holders within the customer organization.
Act in a senior customer support function and is also responsible for introducing prospects to the Veracode service and offerings and delivering the results.
The Security Consultant may also participate in sales efforts as needed when technical capabilities of the service are presented, results are delivered to prospects and also to ensure appropriate support strategies are in place for both clients and prospects.
Skills/Requirements
Must have strong customer interaction experience.
Hands on experience resolving customer issues and communicating solutions to customers.
Experience interfacing with and supporting a sales team preferred.
Experience interacting with developer, technical lead, business lead and management/executive level customers.
The appropriate candidate must be technical with demonstrated technical knowledge. The ideal candidate will have had experience in QA, engineering, customer support, professional services or sales engineering in a Software product or services company.
Superior communication skills (written and verbal).
Computer science or engineering degree preferred
Familiarity with software development life cycle, development, configuration management and application deployment practices
Sensitivity to time, budget and business concerns faced by developers and application owners
Must be proficient in at least one programming language: C, C++, C#, Java or PHP
Understanding of Application-level security and secure coding practices
Familiarity with CVSS, CWE, OWASP, WASC and SANS-25 a plus
