Directs the contracting process and activities, including the negotiation, interpretation, and administration of all sales agreements between the Company and its clients, in order to successfully close sales transactions that provide maximum bookings and profit to the Company while minimizing legal and operational risks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Leads and manages the activities of the contracting function, ensuring that the company’s interests and corporate objectives are served
Negotiates and manages others in negotiating client contracts
Prepares and communicates information regarding contract status, risk, compliance,
modifications, deviations, negotiations, and completion or termination. Ensures that contract risk profiles or ratings are provided for all contracts
Reviews and analyzes complex business issues to determine recommendations for commercial positions to senior management
In the course of conducting and managing contract negotiations interacts with midrange and executive level management representing clients from a cross section of client departments including clinical, information systems, legal and finance
Works with the Sales department to prioritize and facilitate timely resolution of client contract issues
Coordinates resolution of residual contract issues within the company post contract execution
Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management

Solid understanding of software licensing practices including related contractual terms
Advanced computer literacy
TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
College degree in Business or a related field. MBA preferred
12 or more years of contract administration experience
Contracting experience within the software, legal or healthcare fields strongly preferred
