Job Summary:

Our Software Engineers are responsible for providing quality and professional development for Sovos products with guidance from Product Owner. This will include participation in an agile sprint team to deliver new and maintain current features with C++, C#, Delphi, SQL, PL/SQL and proprietary scripting languages.  This role may include gathering requirements, design/proposal of ideas, writing code to implement solutions and maintaining automated test suites according to the business rules. 

Our Developers will:

• Participate within an agile sprint team to deliver software solutions
• Build new and maintain current features with guidance of Product Owner
• Review business rules and translate them into technical solutions
• Design UI and configuration options to meet end user requirements
• Write code with C++, C#, Delphi, SQL, PL/SQL and proprietary scripting languages
• Create and maintain automated unit tests
• Review and design relational database models
• Write SQL queries for ORACLE and MSSQL
• Utilize Git/GitHub for asset management
• Maintain internal documentation for requirements, features, and design through product life cycle
• Participate in product deployment procedure, configuration and check point release verification
• Interface with support to troubleshoot technical issues
• Participate in emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule, as needed
• Demonstrate initiative, drive and determination to achieve results, success, and growth
• Maintain a high level of energy, enthusiasm, engagement and be commitment to action
• Develop trust and model open, candid, respectful communication and collaborative teamwork
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned

We're almost there!  Here are a few skills the Sovos team is looking for:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
• 0 - 2 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrates knowledge of 2 or more programming languages
• Experience with Agile and SCRUM development philosophies is a plus
• Knowledge of C# is a plus
• Knowledge of relational database models and SQL is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, while effectively focusing on priority issues
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Work well under pressure and with minimal requirements
• High degree of self-awareness and commitment to personal development and learning
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written at all levels
