PURPOSE:

To support our rapid growth, we are seeking talented, motivated QA Engineers that bring a passion for releasing quality products for our customers. QA Engineers work closely with MRI Software customers and team members to ensure products and services work in a fully integrated manner as expected by the customer.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Applies defined software testing practices and procedures to drive quality and testability of products and services.

• Exercises judgment in application of methods and procedures to evaluate quality products and services.

• Builds productive internal and external relationships that are essential to delivering quality products and services.

• Works independently, with general instructions on assignments.

• Develops software testing requirements, test cases, and test plans.

• Reports software defects in detail with information gathered from customers, tech support or other internal resources.

• Actively seeks assistance as needed but demonstrates learning and growing independence

• Actively seeks guidance for prioritization and review of deliverables.

• Analyzes offerings against functional and non-functional requirements

• Creates clearly documented plans, designs and results

• Contributes to the creation of reasonably and increasingly accurate work estimates

• Learns new emerging skills functional and technical skills that are relevant to MRI Software





Skills/Requirements

Technical Skills

• Familiarity with Microsoft programming technologies including .Net Framework, C#, VB.Net, SQL Server, TSQL, IIS, ASP

• Understanding of web services, nHibernate or other ORM, XML, and web applications

• MRI Software product knowledge or enterprise account software experience a plus

• Exposure to server software deployment, virtual machines, and server farms desired

• Experience writing and executing automated test scripts in Borland SilkPerformer, SilkTest; or Parasoft SOATest desired

• Ability to contribute to design and code review sessions

• Knowledge of software testing and quality assurance principles, methods, and processes

• Accounting background particularly in the commercial or residential real estate market desired, basic understanding of business accounting expected

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics majors, graduation from Technical School, or equivalent work experience required.

• One to two years of testing experience or similar preferred.

Experience

• 0-2 years experience in software quality assurance functions, including:

o Test case and test script development.
o Test planning and large scale regression test planning and execution.
o Development of automated test scripts using Borland SilkPerformer, SilkTest; or Parasoft SOATest desired
o Experience in enterprise software development and testing for large corporate clients.
o Understanding of Microsoft technologies including COM, COM+, Transact SQL, Visual Basic, VB.Net, C#, JavaScript and XML desired.
