Operator – NIGHT SHIFT

Carlisle Construction Materials (CCM), a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Machine Operator in the Expanding/Molding department on NIGHT SHIFT. We have 3 divisions of CCM housed in our facility and the opportunity to learn and grow is available for our employees.

This position will be responsible for operating or tending machines designed to cut expanded polystyrene blocks according to exacting standards of work order. 

This is a night shift position and work 5:30pm - 2:00am

Essential Job Functions:

• Operate mold and by control panel
• Cut blocks to specific measurements and maintain daily record keeping
• Make sure all blocks are usable material
• Expand raw bead to specific densities
• Make the necessary changes or adjustments to the mold
• Properly mark batch number, date, and what cut each block is
• Conduct daily maintenance checks to ensure all parts work properly
• Clean and keep area hazard-free and inform Lead or Supervisor of any difficulties
• Maximize block yields and density control and maintain daily molding reports

Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or GED required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Able to use measuring gauges such as tape measures
• Ability to fill out molding reports
• Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
• Preferred – knowledge of pre-expander, styro-scale, and bead types

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up 10 pounds continuously, up to 35 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally for regular job duties
• There is a repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping continuously up to 20 pounds and pushing and pulling occasionally up to 200 pounds.
• In addition this position requires the following abilities listed with percentages:

o   Standing – 55%

o   Lifting and Walking – 10%

o   Sitting, Reaching above shoulders, Driving, and Climbing – 5%

o   Bending and Twisting – 2.5%
