Event and Engagement Planner Apply
CO - Greenwood Village (Home Office)

Based at our Greenwood Village Home Office, the Event and Engagement Planer will focus on two primary areas of responsibility.  First, to assist with the planning and execution of Red Robin events.  Second, to develop and direct strategies aimed at growing our company’s culture. This position is responsible for implementing tactics, programs, and events which further engagement, recognition, celebration, fun, and communication.  

Duties Include: 

  • Full service meeting planning to include
    • Partnering and managing business partners to successfully execute all appropriate company events, meetings and conferences as assigned
    • Event scheduling
    • Hotel contract management
    • Pre-event and on-site planning
    • Menu and décor planning
    • Liaison to multiple vendors
    • Attendee registration
    • Rooming list management
    • Transportation management
    • Sourcing and vendor contract negotiation
    • AV/Production liaison
    • Onsite program management
    • Event material printing and shipping
  • Financial Accountability
    • Budget management and program reconciliation
  • Site visits and inspections
  • Communication with all clients at all levels of the organization, written and verbal
  • Design, develop and deploy programs and events that will lead to a more engaged and inspired workforce and establishes an emotional connection
  • Guide the Fun Committee and nurture internal ambassadors to support the Better For Being Here culture and our BURGER core values
  • Design, develop, deploy incentive initiatives that will result in positive organizational culture
  • Review (and redesign as needed), deploy and manage TM recognition programs across organization
  • Manage and continuously improve team member perks/rewards and successfully communicate and deploy ensuring participation
  • Other duties assigned by Vice President of Talent Management

Qualifications:

  • Three to four years meeting or event planning experience
  • Ability to travel up to one week per month or more (actual travel varies based on requirements)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality, or Communications
  • Industry affiliations-MPI, PCMA, SITE, others
  • CMP certification preferred
  • Proven success acting as a company ambassador
  • Proven success developing innovative culture and recognition strategies
  • Innovative and creative thinker who is not afraid to try new things
  • High energy and passion for team members and culture and the strategic importance it plays within an organization
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to demonstrate outstanding written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to plan, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to uphold and role model Red Robin standards
