Director of Change Management & Communications Apply
CO - Greenwood Village (Home Office)

Based at our Greenwood Village Home Office you will be responsible for the development and successful implementation of change management and communication strategies to be deployed throughout the Red Robin organization. You will contribute to bottom line profit through the efficient and effective development and execution of a comprehensive change management and communications strategy to support Red Robin’s Field and Home Office Team Members.  This hands-on leadership role will create and lead within a culture of collaboration to support organizational goals and initiatives.
 

Duties Include:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a simplified change management & communications strategy to improve team member engagement ,awareness and adoption of initiatives implemented in the Home Office and the Field
  • Develop a holistic and comprehensive Communications strategy for Red Robin
  • Lead development of strategic messaging for issues important to the company’s business objectives to provide better connection between Red Robin business strategy and team member actions
  • Evaluate existing communication channels for effectiveness, including print, media, digital/online, and in-person communication vehicles.  Recommend improvements
  • Build trust and gain credibility through collaborative relationships with stakeholders to influence decisions and achieve optimal value delivered for the Red Robin organization through communications and change management strategiesn 
  • Lead Change Management & Communications team that manages detailed communications plans to meet the objectives, schedules and budgets for each initiative implementations, organizational strategies and messages, and ongoing internal communication needs
  • Collaborate with Implementation Project Leaders during all stages of the implementation process from development of initiative priorities through full go-live for to ensure consistent and effective communication to various stakeholder groups
  • Ensure all communication activities uphold brand, standards, and value for optimal success
  • Utilize social media and other leading change management and communications tools to best engage Red Robin Team Members
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and support to team to ensure they understand their roles and interdependence of other cross-function teams in the delivery of communications
  • Implement methods for recording and tracking key performance metrics for communication quality
  • Problem solve, adjust priorities, tasks and resources to ensure the communication  plans s stays on track
  • Identify, escalate and resolve issues critical to Red Robin’s brand and standards 

Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years’ experience in a change management & communications leadership role, preferably in the restaurant or retail industry
  • Demonstrated success in managing a comprehensive communication strategy and brand integrity. 
  • Experience managing a communications strategy during internal organizational change a plus.
  • Understands and manages challenges that arise due to holistic transformation, including role  redesign
  • Can create concise and appropriate communications for various audiences (e.g., business leaders, Operations team members, external stakeholders)
  • Sees broadly across all integrated implementation activities to understand the impact on the organization as a whole
  • Proven ability to build relationships and gain credibility in areas beyond defined scope of work
  • Demonstrated ability to work within an evolving and dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
  • Proven expertise in implementing and managing communications across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to gain consensus among disparate groups and cross-functional teams
  • Entrepreneurial aptitude with a commitment to team members and high work qualit
