Restaurant Technology System Analyst Apply
CO - Greenwood Village (Home Office)

Based at our Greenwood Village Home Office, you will be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and configuring the Point-of-Sale (POS) System and Back Office Supply and Labor Management Systems (NBO). Other core system responsibilities include NCR Mobile Pay, Aloha Takeout, Olo Online Ordering, and 3rd party delivery systems such as DoorDash, Amazon, GrubHub, etc.

Your primary focus will be configuration, maintenance, support, and implementation of these core technologies. This role works closely with cross-functional Teams to ensure seamless restaurant execution and great Guest experiences. 

The role is a very collaborative one as it will require continuous interaction with multiple areas within and outside of the IT department. This also includes managing and coordinating with key IT vendors such as NCR.

 

Duties Include:

  • Executes system configuration, maintenance, testing, software updates, and troubleshooting.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and provides recommendations on system configuration and development requests. Always considers downstream impacts to other technical systems, data flow and overall impact to the business.
  • Provides technical expertise and leads design efforts for system development requests while working closely with BSA and Support & Development Engineers. Translates functional requirements to technical requirements and develops use/test cases for QA Team.
  • Communicates complex technical issues/requests to non-technical audiences
  • Researches and stays current on release notes for system enhancements/upgrades. Constantly looking for ways to improve current environment to achieve better system stability, performance, and infrastructure.
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and communicates necessary system changes/updates before deploying into the Production environment.
  • Performs troubleshooting with appropriate Vendors and internal IT teams where required to resolve technical system issues that arise.
  • Proactively monitors system performance and determines whether modifications are needed and/or required.
  • Works closely with IT Helpdesk, Applications Support, and Support and Development Engineers to ensure appropriate documentation for applicable enhancement releases and/or system changes. This includes updating appropriate Knowledge Base Articles.
  • Follows internal Change Control process.
  • Ensures compliance with all IT security controls including but not limited to SOX, PCI-DSS rules and regulations.
  • Considers all impacts to other Red Robin entities such as Red Robin Express, Canada, and Franchisees.
  • Considers all impacts to NROs (New Restaurant Openings) and works closely with NRO Technology Specialist
  • Strong organizational skills

  • An ability to quickly adapt to new technology to ensure immediate support and serviceability.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
  • Experience in IT Support role preferred
  • Knowledge of Server Hardware/Software – Windows 7 / 10
  • Experience supporting business facing applications preferred
  • Background in Food & Beverage industry preferred
  • Displays strong attention to detail. Demonstrates effective planning and organization skills to meet the needs of the business
  • Responds with a sense of urgency and quickly adjusts to shifting priorities
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, completes tasks with minimal direction
  • Advanced knowledge of Aloha POS including but not limited to Configuration Center, Command Center, EDC, Aloha Takeout, and NBO
  • Strong understanding of Online Ordering and Delivery Systems
  • Advanced knowledge of POS hardware including terminals, printers, and data runs
  • Analytical thinking required
  • Ability to work within a Team is a must
  • Planning, coordination and follow-up skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment required
