Data Development and Integrations Manager Apply
CO - Greenwood Village (Home Office)

Based at our Greenwood Village Home Office, you will be responsible for establishing the vision and strategy for data and integrations at Red Robin. The Data Development Manager collaborates with the CIO, BRDs, Tech and Platform Director, Data Operations Manager and other key stakeholders to understand organizational strategy as it relates to information.  The Data Development Manager is responsible for the implementation and management of all aspects of Red Robin’s information strategy, including Master Data Management, Data Warehouse and BI Programs as well as Data Integrations and Information Architecture.  

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the data development and integration teams accountable for delivering data programs and projects including MDM/DW/BI.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and Team Members to identify data needs required to support the organizational strategy.
  • Manage third party vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Develop and promote business cases for data programs and projects required to support the organizational information strategy.
  • Participate in the development of the IT roadmap and budget.
  • Ensure Red Robin’s data adheres to regulatory and compliance requirements by collaborating with the Security team to ensure data risks are identified and managed. This includes (but is not limited to) SOX, PCI and HIPPA.
  • Implement and chair a Data Governance board focused on developing and upholding principles and standards regarding data and information.
  • Assist in Architecting data solutions (including integrations, reporting and business intelligence) required to meet the needs of the organization.
  • Define and monitor the data lifecycle (acquisition, cleanse, transform, classify, storage, distribution, security, privacy and archiving).
  • Define standards surrounding data, data governance, data quality management, master data management, data risk, data security and other standards as required.
  • Define and manage data taxonomy, reference architecture and other data standard tools.
  • Develop, maintain and socialize a data services catalog.
  • Manage data catalogs and documentation to ensure they are up-to-date, accessible and usable.
  • Implement processes to routinely measure data and integration quality.

 

 

Requirements

  • 3+ years of work experience in leading design information architecture, logical models, physical data models, data analysis and data discovery, data integration and ETL.
  • Proven track record leading teams and building relationships across the organization.
  • Display excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across business units and prioritize work in fast paced and collaborative environment.
  • Proven ability to think strategically and to communicate the strategy to others.
  • Experience with the development and implementation of a business intelligence program and in working with Master Data Management tools.
  • Proven track record and success in dimensional, logical and physical data modeling for transaction processing, application and data warehousing.
  • Strong understanding of the value of the Information Architecture function.
  • Master’s degree in MIS, CS or 10-15 year’s relevant technology leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of Enterprise Integration Platforms.
  • ITIL, COBIT, CMM understanding and/or certifications.
  • Multiple years within restaurant, retail, hospitality or food and beverage industries.
  • Referenceable success in a solution architect role.
  • Knowledge and/or working implementation of the Data Management Body of Knowledge (DMBOK).
  • Candidate must have hands-on skills to perform or guide team to perform key data architectural and development tasks, such as data modeling, ETL, data quality management and security implementation.
  • Able to express architectural designs and roadmaps in visual and presentation formats.
  • Able to evangelize Information Architecture to individuals within and outside of IT.
  • Able to work independently in a self-directed manner.
  • Fluency in leading IT governance theories and practices
  • Able to demonstrate Analytical, evaluative and problem-solving abilities
