General Ledger Accountant Apply
CO - Greenwood Village (Home Office)

Based at our Greenwood Village Home Office, you will be primarily responsible for maintenance and accounting for the Company’s general ledger and accounts receivable. Responsibilities will include, helping facilitate period close, prepare journal entries, complete account reconciliations, research variances, identify process efficiencies, creating/maintaining quarterly and annual auditor schedules and ad hoc projects as assigned.

You must be able to multi-task and work with management to ensure all work is SOX and GAAP compliant.

Duties Include:

  • General Ledger
  • Prepare timely and accurate journal entries in accordance periodic close schedule
  • Accurately reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare and present balance sheet and income statement variance analysis
  • Maintain an effective control environment on assigned accounts and tasks in accordance with SOX
  • Prepare supporting schedules for  internal and external auditors
  • Accounts Receivables
  • Reconciles accounts pertaining to Trade A/R, Miscellaneous A/R and Franchise Fee Recognition.
  • Collection duties that include identifying and applying incoming deposits to specific invoices or identifying the correct account coding for the deposits.
  • Monitors processes for franchise restaurants to ensure timely and accurate payment procedures of all invoices and fees.
  • Responsible for monthly reporting which includes account statements, past due letters, accounts receivable aging, and  other account reconciliations.
  • Help manage the overall accounting for accounts receivables to ensure the accuracy for these related accounts.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and has strong time management skills in order to meet time constraints.


Requirements:

  • BS or BA degree or candidate
  • 2+ years of general accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Large ERP experience required
  • Restaurant industry a plus.
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience in maintaining documentation in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley Section 404.
  • Experience in accounting for  accounts receivables.
