Catering Specialist Apply
PA - Allentown (Tilghman Square) - (Franchise)

In this role you will coordinate off-premises delivery of food orders to catering customers in a courteous, helpful and prompt manner. Responsible for delivering orders and communicating with the catering coordinator and team members to provide quality products and timely delivery that exceeds our customers’ expectations. Process customer orders to ensure that all items are prepared accurately and on a timely basis. The driver is also a brand ambassador and therefore has to represent the LVRG-Red Robin brand at all times.

 

Performance Standards:

  • Follows all company policies as outlined in Team Member Handbook.
  • Follows all food service sanitation and safety standards.
  • Meets all uniform, appearance, and grooming standards as specified in the team member handbook and Catering Procedures Manual.
  • Embraces our customer service philosophy by following LVRG- Red Robin service standards.
  • Follows all delivery policies as outlined by LVRG- Red Robin in the Catering Procedure Manual and Delivery Driver Manual.
  • Knows all catering menu items offered. If asked, accurately answers questions about menu items in regard to preparation method, ingredients, portion size, and side items.
  • Works in conjunction with the catering coordinator and manager on duty to organize and execute delivery schedule for daily catering orders.
  • Validates order accuracy including quantities, utensils and order contents.
  • Possesses a sense of urgency and fulfills and delivers orders on time to the customer.
  • Unpacks the catering order and set up the table in a presentable manner following our catering table set up schematics.
  • Provides exceptional customer service during delivery and immediately resolves any issues or requests by the catering customer.
  • Assists in the marketing effort by distributing menus, samples, and other promotional items while on deliveries.
  • Meets all safety requirements set forth in regard to the delivery vehicle and as outlined in the Delivery Driver Training Manual.
  • Maintains a clean and presentable vehicle that is stocked with the necessary tools and backup items.
  • Follows and obeys all road signs and traffic laws while delivering catering orders.
  • Follows all end-of-shift checkout procedures outlined in the Delivery Driver training manuals within each restaurant.
  • Contributes to a good team environment by assisting other team members with their station duties and side work when there is a need and/or when available.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the manager which may include: order confirmation calls, staging and assembling orders as well as day-to-day restaurant operational duties.

Physical Activity & Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the Delivery Driver is required to stand for sustained periods of time, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds. 
  • Must be able to finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motion. 
  • Ability to perform/endure above essential functions in a continuous manner in a normal workday without assistance or supervision.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to read and communicate in English clearly and effectively.
  • Must be able to bend at the waist and lift items up to 50 lbs. to waist level.
  • Must demonstrate enthusiasm and commitment to guest satisfaction.
  • Must be able to move items up to 30 lbs. for distances of up to 25 feet.
  • Must possess and have clean, reliable, presentable vehicle for deliveries.
  • Must have valid driving license and clean driving record.
  • Must provide proof of automobile insurance.
  • Must have knowledge of delivery area.
  • Must have the ability to read a map and locate addresses.
  • Must provide a cell phone to use when on deliveries.
  • Previous restaurant and or delivery experience is preferred.
