Right now, we’re in the process of replacing the system and processes that have underpinned our growth to date with a ‘best in breed’, process-based system that will take us into the future.  This is a multi-million dollar, multi-year project being deployed in both the US and UK.  Your role is to help us with this major business transformation.

Position Overview:

The primary objective of the Senior Business Analyst will be to work alongside the project’s Global Leads to redesign the business’ processes, and as a consequence the business’ structure, as we design the new system.  You must be dedicated, self-sufficient, and demonstrate a history of accountability and delivery of complex process workflows, analysis, requirements, and system documentation. You will lead analysis and undertake detailed documentation of current processes oriented around the collection, evaluation and/or derivation of data across multiple global business areas. You’ll also play a key role in the testing and deployment of the new system as it rolls out to its business users.   

 

Detailed Responsibilities:

  • Support Global Business Leads deconstructing current work flow and tasks, understand the purpose and function of current processes and align processes to future requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate processes.
  • Document findings and improvements on a project by project basis reflecting revised or new operational and systematic processes.
  • Assess, demonstrate and document that the revised/new processes will enhance the quality of the business.
  • Ensure all requirements/design specifications for the future state of the business are complete, unambiguous and testable.
  • Analyze and report on the likely impact of process modifications on the organizational structure of the business.
  • Maintain detailed project plans to measure progress of various work streams within the project.
  • Work closely with the various teams including business, development, and project management teams to:
    • Maintain an up-to-date action item list by project that captures dependent activities of all groups affected by targeted systems
    • Continuously identify areas of functional or data overlaps across system areas to eliminate or reduce redundancies where possible
    • Provide timely, effective communication on status of activities
    • Identify and highlight risks and issues that could impact project delivery.
  • Maintain requirements/specification documents as needed through development life cycle
  • Work within Functional Business Units to ensure requirements are delivered successfully within project constraints.

 

 

 

 

Skills/Requirements

Job Requirements

  • Process Transformation/Re-engineering experience.
  • 2-3 years experience working as part of process/ project team.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral. 
  • The ability to extract logical processes from an audience not versed in process design
  • Demonstrated ability to document work flows and requirements effectively.
  • Expertise and demonstrated leadership in workflow development and analysis, requirements elicitation, complex business issue analysis and/or system migration analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
  • Ability to quickly understand business or technical issues along with the ability to frame these issues effectively for management, and identify possible remediation.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle priorities among different efforts/projects.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Experienced with flow modeling visualization tools such as  Visio or Triaster.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Process experience in a variety of different business areas such as Customer Service, Call Center Operations, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Administrative Services.
  • Ability to travel within the US and internationally.
