Job Description

The ELC Administrative Assistant provides general clerical support, ensuring the efficiency of the ELC Office. He/she will serve as a member of the administrative assistant team and works under the supervision of the Director of ELC.

Primary Responsibilities

?      Maintain overall management of the ELC Office

?      Work with K-12 substitute teacher coordinator and assist in maintaining relevant up-to-date reports and lists

?      Provide effective administrative assistance to the ELC Administrator and counselor

?      Maintain and use student databases to access and deliver information

?      Organize ELC events

?      Support the annual budgeting process including preparing yearly purchase orders for the ELC

?      Promote positive relationships and rapport with all members of the ASD community

Schoolwide Responsibilities:

?      Openly support and abide by all school policies and procedures

?      Model ASD ‘Core Values’ in interactions with the school community

?      Represent the skills and attitudes of global citizenship, antiracism and intercultural sensitivity and proactivity

?      Take on other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

Required Qualifications:

?      Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

?      Exceptional written and spoken English

?      The ability to inspire children

?      Excellent knowledge of the relevant subject(s)

?      A clearly visible love for children

?      Full understanding and support of the school's philosophy

?      Have visa sponsorship by a family member and be able to provide an NOC to ASD

Terms of Employment

This position is classified as a non-sponsored staff position and reports to the Director of the Early Learning Center. The candidate must provide an NOC from their visa sponsor stating that he or she is permitted to work at ASD. Standard working hours are from 7:45 am - 3:45 pm, Sunday through Thursday. In some cases, flexibility with work hours is requested to meet the needs of the role. This position stipulates 196 working days.
