Job Description

ACTIVE Network is looking for an experienced Events & Tradeshow Manager who will lead and drive tradeshow planning and execution, a critical part of ACTIVE’s lead and customer acquisition and retention efforts. The Tradeshow and Events Manager drives the annual tradeshow planning process by working with the Marketing Directors and the sales team to determine which shows and events ACTIVE will participate in, the rationale and objectives for participating and the criteria by which success will be measured. This includes planning and managing logistics for industry trade shows, roadshows and user events. This role requires both a strategic and tactical expert who can manage a team to efficiently produce events on schedule, within budget and with the goal of maximizing ACTIVE’s participation for the greatest return on investment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support marketing strategies and program objectives by enabling and facilitating participation in key tradeshows and events that reach ACTIVE’s target customers and industry influencers
  •  Manage end-to-end all trade shows and events, strategy, logistics and execution
  • Generate leads to help drive growth and capture share in ACTIVE’s target segments
  • Establish and monitor event budgets
  • Work with marketing operations team to evaluate event performance based on KPIs such as CPL, MQL volume, opportunities created and influenced revenue
  • Make recommendations to marketing team based on event performance
  • Manage partner and sponsor relationships
  • Coordinate speakers and staff
  • Ensure proper pre-show outreach and post-show follow up occurs
  • Manage registrations and “day of” needs for key shows




Skills/Requirements

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in events marketing with strong emphasis on B2B and tradeshows
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration or related field
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Proven track record of successful, high visibility events
  • Experience working with a CRM and marketing automation platform
  • Proficient in key marketing metrics (CPL, MQL, SRL, SQL, etc.)
  • Highly motivated, driven and ambitious
  • Comfortable in an event setting and speaking with customers and prospects
  • 10% travel required
