Job Description:

The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for supporting the implementation of data marts and SQL report creation for the Operations department to meet business objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze production systems to ensure data integrity and accuracy of setups as they relate to the data mart applications. Report findings and follow through to verify that the appropriate teams correct such errors.
  • Perform summary analysis to predict operations activity for given periods and conduct post-mortem research to explain variances from expected results.
  • Work with team to extract and transfer data from production environments to data marts and perform quality checks to ensure the integrity of that data.
  • Provide data for ad hoc requests as needed. Must able to think analytically and develop an expert understanding of business operational systems to query, summarize, and present information quickly and accurately




Skills/Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external personnel in a positive manner utilizing strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to converse at a technical level with IT
  • Demonstrated analytical and decision making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve quickly in a fast paced environment.

Desired Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years performing analysis of data held in a complex, relational databases environment
  • College degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Business Operations, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Familiarity with applications and platforms including MS Access, Toad, Brio, Oracle, VMS and SQL Server.
  • Team oriented, a self-starter, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and independent analytical skills to identify and communicate resourceful ways to address and implement solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail to appropriately manage the complexity of the processes involved.
  • Ability to think logically in designing structured queries.
  • Ability to converse at a technical level with IT concerning data files and fields.
  • Working and proven knowledge of structured query language.
  • Experience providing ad-hoc and standard reporting to multiple levels of an organization
