Union Square Events is seeking

Porters and Recievers

to be a part of the team at the Conrad Hotel!

 

The Porters and Receivers perform manual tasks focused around maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen. Responsibilites include the thorough cleaning of equipment and facilities to uphold proper sanitation standards and helping coordinate BOH logistics. A willingness to multi-task, the ability to follow directions and work under the supervision of BOH Management while upholding the Tents of Enlightened Hospitality are musts.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize and maintain proper sanitation procedures
  • Assist with IMS Systems data entry
  • Washing kitchen appliances and work surfaces
  • Unloading deliveries from outside vendors
  • Organization and rotation of perishable goods
  • Organizing small-ware storeroom
  • Perform a daily and monthly food, beverage and equipment inventory
  • Record perishable waste in a spoilage log
  • Organizing Props and BOH Storage
  • Coordinate excess equipment/proofers for return to commissary kitchen
  • Transport food and/or equipment items when requested by BOH staff
  • Assist Banquet Sous Chef with ordering all non-food related kitchen items
