Job Description

As a Production Supervisor with Navitor Folders, you will be a dedicated leader with a clear and strategic vision in excellence and innovation; utilizing skills in communication and organization to ensure goal achievement. You will be responsible for promoting a customer focused environment through employee engagement.  You will use lean techniques to analyze and identify gaps in the process.  This position requires exceptional communication skills, advanced technical skills, and the ability to support our web-to-ship initiative.  You will oversee the day-to-day operations of a team of employees; which includes responsibility for personnel actions, such as, training and development of staff, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
  • Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
  • Maintains work flow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments
  • Works with team leads to plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries
  • Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, personnel requirements; implementing change
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and incorporating lean practices
  • Build working relationships
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

 

Core Hours:  8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday with some extended hours and Saturday's

 





Skills/Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience desired
  • 2-5 years of leadership experience
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to support, communicate, train and translate strategy to team level actions
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Strong analytical, organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Must work well independently and in a group
  • Self-motivated, has the ability to understand high level goals and translate into actionable task
  • Able to lead through conflict
  • Must possess the ability to lead through multiple projects and deadlines concurrently
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and motivate others
  • Leads with an atmosphere of team work and cooperation to maintain an effective working environment as well as ensure continuity of service to customers 
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and lift up to 30 pounds
