Job Description

SUMMARY: Responsible for supplying the correct product to the Bag Loader and palletizing finished cartons in a safe, productive manner, delivering quality results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following but are not limited to other assigned duties. Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed.

• Verifies proper product identification. • Inspects product for non-conformance and stops the production line if there is a problem, informing the Team Leader or Supervisor.

• Unloads product racks, which may include cutting the product according to specifications. • Maintains proper use of personal protective and safety equipment as required.

• Maintains clean, sanitary and safe work areas and enforces safe work practices. • Assists in training new employees in learning proper methods and procedures in the area.

• Must maintain and comply with all OSHA, USDA, SSOP and GMP requirements. (Continued, palletizing) • Starts sealing machine and observes operation to detect faulty sealing, changes tape machine and prevents conveyor jamming. • Removes cartoons from discharge conveyor.

• Adjusts holding guides and machine tripping mechanism that regulates movements of cartons. • Operates power jack.

• Assists Team Leader in obtaining stock (boxes, films, labels, etc.) • Knowledge of proper labeling for each individual product.

• Knowledge of proper pallet construction.

• Knowledge of date codes.

• Push full racks of product

REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to read product labels and compare with production schedule in English. Ability to read product specifications sheets in English. Must be able to identify species by color labeling. Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical operations. Individual must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
