Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:Performs procedures required for the collection, transport, and distribution of blood specimens from hospital inpatients and outpatients, including venous, arterial and capillary punctures. Performs clerical and phone functions associated with the processing of collection requests. Perform phlebotomist duties at nursing homes when needed.
Skills/Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS: H.S. grad/equivalent. Completion of phlebotomy training program preferred. ASCP certification and six (6) months hospital experience preferred.
