Job Description

SUMMARY

Set up and tryout new equipment in assembly area and at customers’ facilities.  Diagnose and repair on-site existing customer equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Set up and tryout, new  equipment per contractual agreement. Run test procedures and tryout new products in the assembly plant and at customers’ facilities as needed.  Obtain necessary customer signatures on buyoff and safety forms.
  • Work with team members and other departments to solve problems with operation.
  • Diagnose and repair on-site existing customer equipment.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  •  Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED/PREFERRED

  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
  • Ability to use a wide variety of tools and precision instruments.
  • Able to read blue prints and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Basic math skills in all units of measure.
  • Good knowledge of electrical and hydraulic circuits and capable of reading schematics.

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED/PREFERRED

  • Prefer formal industrial-related training
  • Become familiar with sheet metal and forming practices.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES

  • Must supply own hand tools.
  • Willing to learn new concepts and skills.  Self-starting personality.
  • Must be willing to travel for extended periods of time
