Job Description
General Responsibilities:
Supervise and schedule daily bindery operations
Primary Functions include, but are not limited to:
• Thorough knowledge of the capabilities of each piece of bindery equipment
• Ability to read and understand written instructions (job ticket)
• Must be able to communicate clearly in English and Spanish
• Responsible for scheduling multiple shifts and maintaining productivity of bindery equipment
• Perform 1st piece inspections on products and processes ensuring quality standards are maintained
• Responsible for ensuring that all bindery equipment has preventive maintenance performed regularly
• Responsible for maintaining a qualified workforce
• Be able to clearly communicate with sales representatives, CSR’s, and other department managers
• Attend production meetings
• Maintain a safe work environment
Marginal Functions:
• Additional duties as assigned by VP-Operations

Skills/Requirements
Education: Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
Work Experience: Seven to ten years of bindery experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The position requires an in-depth knowledge of specific bindery operations, along with basic knowledge of printing. The ability to troubleshoot, repair and mainitain equipment is a plus. In addition, proven effective customer relations, leadership, interpersonal relations and acceptable verbal/written communications skills are required. Incumbent must work well under pressure, be highly motivated, capable of effective time management, and be a team player. Visual abilities are essential as well as the ability to read, comprehend and administer written policies.
