Job Description

 

Primary Purpose of the Position

This position is responsible for handling data maintenance on new and existing lines of product selected for the company. The Product Coordinator work closely with the Buyers to create unique content for the product offering while aligning data and assets provided from the vendors.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Data Entry
  • Generation & maintenance of reports
  • Internal & external communications

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports the Buyers in gathering and recording merchandise data by:
    • Loading parts into the database
    • Assigning copy to products
    • Assigning images to products
    • Assigning products into their appropriate categories
    • Assigning associated products to group/item style
  • Upload, maintain, and correct product data in the content management database for catalog and website purposes.
  • Communicate with vendors on occasion to gather accurate data on products.
  • Run daily, weekly, and monthly project status reports to management.
  • Participate in organizational and planning meetings as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Educational and Experience Requirements 

An Associate’s degree in and/or a minimum of one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Previous experience clerical or administrative experienced is desired. 

 

Other Special Requirements                                                                   

  • Strong organizational and data entry skills
  • Effective  communication skills
  • Previous experience in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. 
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to be self-driven
  • Ability to gain proficiency in the job duties that are trained
  • Must be able to abide to strict confidentiality at all time
  • Ability to manage a large and variable work load, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned work

 

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to sit while utilizing a computer for extended periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The team member frequently is required to walk and occasionally required to stand.  The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
