Job Description

 

We are currently looking for an ambitious and self-motivated Senior Geospatial Analyst to join Patrick Engineering in our Geospatial Software Development team offices in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Geospatial Software Developer is responsible for technical solution architecture, software design, implementation and documentation. The Geospatial Developer provides effective database and application development on Esri platform for a client base including Fortune 50 cable industry clients, Fortune 150 electric utility clients, transportation agencies, state and local government and private sector clients. This position requires a good understanding of technology trends and developments in the geospatial tools, applications and integration architecture leading to current best practices for a given technical solution. The Geospatial Analyst must have exposure and demonstrated skills working within an enterprise GIS setting and will provide solid technical solutions in applied spatial analysis.

Discipline Specific Overview

  • GIS analysis development based on the Esri platform including ArcGIS for Desktop, Model Builder, Portal for ArcGIS/ArcGIS Online
  • Adding client-value by assuming data review and analysis solution roles including: requirements gathering and analysis, functional specification, data review and quality control
  • Interfacing directly with clients
  • Authorizing of project & documentation
  • Providing technical sales support




Skills/Requirements

  • BS or MS in Geography, Computer Science or GUS related field with significant course work or experience in GIS
  • 3-8 years of professional experience
  • Thorough understanding of ESRI geodatabase technology
  • Proficiency in ArcGIS for Desktop and extensions (Spatial Analyst, 3-D Analyst, Network Analyst, Business Analyst)
  • Strong technical written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to clearly communicate concepts and ideas
  • Experience with team development and use of source control systems (GitHub, Microsoft TFS, Subversion)
  • Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a multi-discipline team
