Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• Provide architecture support to all vertical project teams (Electric, Cable/Telecom, Gas Distribution & Transmission, Renewables, Rail)

• Work with potential and existing customers to design and build scalable and secure geospatial architectures including but not limited to a services orientated approach

• Design and document ArcGIS architecture best practices for use by the Geospatial Software Development Team during project delivery

• Design and document ArcGIS security best practices for use by the Geospatial Software Development Team during project delivery

• Design and document governance best practices for use by the Geospatial Software Development Team during project delivery

• Provide internal architecture and governance support for Geospatial Software Development Team environments

• Work with potential and existing customers to create upgrade strategies

• Take the lead on Patrick Engineering’s geospatial hosting and cloud strategy

• Provide mentoring to junior Geospatial Software Development Team members

• Provide sales support

• Provide development support to all vertical project teams

• Assist with written scopes of work

• Lead consulting engagements in the areas of Architecture/Performance Assessments, Platform Security & Platform Strategy

• Assist in consulting engagements in the areas of Portal Strategy and Solution Strategy





Skills/Requirements

Desired Skills and Experience:

• BA (MA preferred) in computer science, engineering, geography, business, management or related discipline

• 5+ years of professional work experience

• Thorough understanding of the Esri Platform • Proficient in Enterprise Architecture principles • Proficient with ArcGIS Server APIs (Javascript, REST and Python)

• Proficient using ESRI ArcGIS 10.x technology

• Proficient implementing Esri ArcGIS technology

• Familiarity with ArcGIS Runtime SDK

• Thorough understanding of ESRI geodatabase technology

• Understanding of benefits of use for .NET, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Python, Java

• Database design/management skills in Oracle and SQL server; proficiency with MS SQL Server and T-SQL language

• Strong technical written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to clearly communicate concepts and ideas

• Experience with team development and use of source control systems (GitHub, Microsoft TFS, Subversion)

• Self-starter who can work independently and as part of a multi-discipline team
