Job Description

Job Summary:

Carlisle Construction Materials Incorporated a worldwide leading diversified manufacturer of premium building products and related technology has an immediate opening for a Continuous Improvement Facilitator in Puyallup, WA. The Continuous Improvement (COS) Facilitator is the primary resource for continuous improvement efforts at all manufacturing locations. COS is our internal program (Carlisle Operating Systems). In this program our goal is to create and sustain a culture where identifying opportunities and implementing improvements becomes commonplace.  This individual will work closely with plant management and local COS resources to assist with all aspects of their continuous improvement program.  This is a highly visible position and requires the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.

Travel Requirement – 50%, including overnight travel.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Identifying, scoping, and participating in/facilitating improvement events (i.e. Kaizens)
  • Conducting event follow-up/audits to ensure sustainment 
  • Engage with lean certified manufacturing personal to increase the use of lean tools across the organization
  • Coordinating companywide programs and initiatives such as: Managing Daily Improvement (MDI), Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Operational Excellence, and 5S  




Skills/Requirements

Minimum Job Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field is required.  Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.  Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles, as well as manufacturing processes are essential.  Microsoft Office proficiency along with strong communication skills, both verbal and written, is also required.
