Job Description

Patrick Engineering is currently looking for an ambitious Project Manager to join our talented Transportation team.  We are looking for a candidate with technical competence in highway engineering and the ability to manage a staff and projects (including scope, schedule, and budget) and acting as a key Patrick Engineering representative when interacting with clients.

Patrick Engineering has excellent and well-trained staff to rely on to get the work done.  We are a growing company in diverse markets and regions of water resources and energy, with transportation (highway and rail) as one of our primary focuses.  Patrick Engineering has a plethora of support services in-house including survey and GIS, geotech, drainage, signals, lighting and environmental.  We have an excellent reputation and relationships with IDOT, Tollway, CDOT, and the 7 northeastern Illinois counties, as well as teaming relationships with top engineering firms in our industry.  We have major contracts including I-80 Phase I and II, various Phase I studies, CREATE Work for IDOT, Elgin-O’Hare Expressway for the Tollway, Laraway Road for Will County, IL 120 for Lake County, and Canal Street for CDOT, and are continually on the short-list for more work with the northeastern IL counties.  This position would include managing large projects and growing relationships with clients.





Skills/Requirements

  • BS or MS in Civil Engineering (transportation focus)
  • Experience with MicroStation
  • PE required
  • 12-15+ years of experience in transportation engineering studies and design
