Job Description

Pilot Program Interns will participate in educational training focused on elder care and pre-HHA preparation. Activities will include participating in interactive workshops and activities, mastering clinical training skills, and assisting residents on the floors (i.e. transporting, dining assistance, ambulation, and other volunteer approved tasks). This position focuses on preparing individuals to enter a HHA training program and provide high quality, compassionate, culturally competent care to older adults.

  5. Interest in learning to perform in a healthcare setting.

 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • 18-24 years of age
  • Not in school
  • Not employed in a career path

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Required to stand and talk or hear, walk and sit. Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.  Required to travel to all JHL campuses and program sites outside of JHL.
