Job Description

Patrick Engineering is looking for a Senior Cost Estimator/Constructability Analyst to work closely with the scheduling group for joint development of cost and schedules. This candidate will also be required to perform constructability reviews on projects during the design phase and critique/recommend improvements to the design for buildability, cost savings/most cost effective method of construction. This candidate will participate in Value Engineering and Risk Analysis for projects. The ideal candidate would also have experience as a construction superintendent and/or project manager directing work on heavy civil and rail projects.





Skills/Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of experience in heavy civil, rail, and infrastructure projects

• Must possess experience with use of HCSS estimating software

• Other estimating software such as Bid to Win and Timberline is beneficial

• Vertical construction experience a plus

• Familiarity with scheduling software such as Primavera a plus

• Candidate must demonstrate past experience in building conceptual estimates from minimal plan information as well as bottoms-up crew based production estimates

• Candidate should possess knowledge of material suppliers, construction subcontractors, and production rates in multiple geographic markets

• Experience working with State agencies a plus
