Job Title: Rate Specialist Supervisor
Reports to: Sharon Cargal – Operations Manager
Position Overview: Rate Specialist Supervisor
The Rate Specialist Supervisor will manage a team of Rate Specialists and will assist with full cycle rate creation and rate management across multiple sales channels. The Rate Specialist Supervisor will possess the depth and breadth of subject matter expertise needed to successfully plan and accomplish functional goals.
Essential Functions:
Oversee implementation of new rates and rate updates across OEMs and Agent base.
Coordinate with Client Relations & Risk/Data Management to ensure rate structure is complete and that we have all information needed to move forward with setup.
Attend meetings pertaining to new rate launches and rate updates. Prepare documentation from meetings to keep team informed.
Manage Rate Specialist team who review, analyze and update rate tables.
Develop QA structure to test rates to determine if forms and rates are working correctly before passing on to IT / QA testing.
Perform a variety of tasks related to rate creation and rate management.
Serve as catalyst to successfully execute the company’s rate strategy.
Skills/Requirements
Qualifications:
College degree preferred.
Safe-Guard Underwriting / QA background preferred.
Sequel background & advanced Excel skills a must have.
Able to confidently interface with colleagues across functions to create and execute new rates and rate updates across business channels.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fluid, high growth and fast-paced environment.
