Assistant Superintendent- Austin Multifamily Renovation

Objective of Position:

One Eighty Construction is looking for Superintendents to manage projects in our growing Austin portfolio. Supervisors will manage daily operations of projects focusing on quality control, daily communication, schedule and safety. The candidate will report to the Superintendent and show strong communcation and organizational traits. The superintendent is expected to be handed a scope of work and a schedule and be able to run projects till completion including all inspections and client walks. The multifamily superintendents' top priority is field coordination, working closely with the subcontractors(s) to ensure that they are always focused on quality and workmanship that meet industry standards. Candidates will be highly motivated, organized and interested in the potential to grow with the company.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Prepare cost estimates, construction budgets and construction schedules
Inspect Worksites
Creating work scopes for the bid process
Meeting with contractors to obtain bids
Daily oversight of multiple interior & exterior construction job sites
Supervise all sub-contractors on the assigned projects
Responsible for individual unit completions and final punch-outs
Assure work quality meets expectations
Generate requisitions/ purchase orders for Procurement of materials
Inventory management
Assure sub-contractors have all materials needed to keep production flowing
Receive material deliveries and assure there are no discrepancies

Skills & Qualifications:

Residential or multi-family construction or renovation experience preferred
Basic equipment and repair experience in areas such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, dry wall, exterior structure and appliances
Ability in problem-solving
Strong sense of urgency
Professional with a positive attitude
Excellent organizational skills.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (High level of experience using Excel)
Self-motivated and confident.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Bilingual is a plus (Spanish)
