Job Description
TKL Research is a full-service, international Clinical Research Organization (CRO) serving the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and consumer healthcare industries. We provide comprehensive clinical trial management services for Phase 1-4 clinical research studies, including an inpatient Phase 1 facility and outpatient specialized research clinics.
We are seeking a highly motivated Proposals Manager for our growing organization!
This position is responsible for overseeing the development and timely submission for the Request for Proposals (RFP) response for all Clinical Trials Division (CTD) projects. You will work directly and independently with senior level positions in various departments to ensure that proposals accurately reflect the needs of the client. You will create and provide an analysis of the budget to ensure that costs are in line with text, and work toward a win scenario for every opportunity. In this role, you will also administer and coordinate activities involving the acceptance, monitoring, and performance of client contracts and sub-contracts between TKL and clients/vendors.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinates, develops, and produces the RFP response for all CTD opportunities.
- Contributes in the preparation of presentations and bid defense meetings and represents the Proposals and Contracts department for the budget discussions at the meetings.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of the proposal process, department templates, budget templates, and tracking of pending and awarded projects.
- Produces quality proposal, budget, and contract documents within allotted time and with managerial oversight.
- Responsible for the timely hand-off of awarded projects to the key operational team members and ensuring that the team has a clear understanding of the trial expectations, scope, and budget.
- Leads and organizes team meetings as necessary.
- Interfaces with clients as needed for proposal and client/vendor contracts discussions.
- Oversees and provides hands on guidance for the maintenance of the RFI Library.
- Oversees and provides hands on guidance for the production of RFI responses for all CTD opportunities.
- Oversees and provides hands on guidance for the maintenance of the TKL experience database.
- Oversees and provides hands on guidance for the production of TKL experience reports and graphics for BD representatives, Proposal Managers and other internal clients.
- Supports the Sr. Proposal Manager with department oversight in the Director’s absence.
- Miscellaneous duties, as necessary, in support of Proposals and Contracts, CTD initiatives, and TKL business priorities and objectives.
Skills/Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic credential; life sciences, finance, accounting or other business area preferred. Minimum 2 years of CRO experience is preferred. Experience in budget preparation and proposal writing is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively communicate to a wide variety of audiences including senior management. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build productive work relationships both within TKL and outside with clients. Effective time management and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills. We are considering remote-based candidates for this opening. Home Office experience is required.
