Position Overview

 

This role will focus on the efficient and accurate scheduling of deployment and project activities within the Cloud Operations organization, including management of scheduling, escalations, communications, analysis, and metrics.

 

 

 

Position Responsibilities

 

  • Communications: Create and maintain intra- and inter-departmental synergies related to all project and deployment requests, including scheduling as defined further in this document. These departments include, but are not limited to Professional Services, Sales, Assigned Deployment Resources, Resource Managers, Cloud Operations Management, and Other Stakeholders.
  • Service Offering Catalog: Maintain the entire Cloud Operations Service Catalog, including all available offerings: New Offerings, New Bundles/Packages/Suites, and Decommissioned Offerings.
  • Service Offering Catalog: Report catalog and demand metrics, including Rolling Lead Time to Deployment, Deployment Durations, and Deployment Contingencies.
  • Service Offering Catalog: Manage the application infrastructure and resource capacity and support readiness. Ensure all resources (human, infrastructure, etc.) are prepared to support deployment activities.
  • Deployment Management: manage the request analysis for new deployments, releases and hot fixes to determine when a request needs a detailed project management approach. Ensure the proper resources are scheduled for each request and the requests are properly managed. Ensure that requests are completed to expectation using a traceability matrix that follows the request through design and implementation.
  • Scheduling: Manage all project scheduling for Cloud Operations, including the availability of resources, and proper application and maintenance of a skills matrix, and the request and confirmation of infrastructure readiness. Manage prioritization of deployment requests including escalation, acceleration, and delay management.
  • Scheduling Capacity: Manage all resource calendars, including personnel vacations and PTO days, company holidays in all global work locations, and other resource commitments such as training and on-demand requirements.
  • Metrics: Manage and report deployment metrics, such as average lead time, average deployment duration, utilization, and projected metrics.
  • Normal work-hours will require day, night, and weekend flexibility based on customer needs.

 

 

 

Desired Skills and Experience

 

  • Intermediate PMI Project Management or SDLC experience
  • 3+ years of Enterprise-level business analysis and administration
  • 2+ years of experience in an Application Hosting environment 
  • 1+ year of Enterprise-level software deployment planning
  • Strong professional communication skills
  • Strong professional documentation skills
  • Strong mediation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform tasks with minimal oversight

 

 

 

 

 

Education and Certifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technically related field, or equivalent experience
