Job Description

Responsible for day to day operations with a focus on maximizing sales and minimizing expenses to improve operating performance.  The successful candidate will set an example for direct reports in terms of professionalism, attitude and teamwork in the areas of customer service and all other store operations.
 

In addition, the store manager will:

  • Make certain each customer is served consistently in accordance with NOCO's customer services standards;
  • Effectively prioritize, organize, delegate and follow up on shift tasks to be completed;
  • Be responsible for security of all store assets by having control of store merchandise and by troubleshooting shortages and effectively working to reduce shortages;
  • Accurately and effectively complete all required paperwork;
  • Conduct employee training programs;
  • Perform daily price surveys and report changes as required;
  • Order and maintain an effective in-stock position of store merchandise;
  • Employee relations at store level, include hiring, terminating and coaching;
  • Promote and ensure store safety programs;
  • Planning and scheduling of work.
     




Skills/Requirements

  • Previous retail experience is required, previous c-store experience is strongly preferred;
  • 1 year of supervisory experience is required;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills;
  • Have an understanding of basic accounting principles;
  • Excellent organizational skills/detail oriented individual;
  • Must have a can-do attitude with a team player mentality;
  • Must be able to work at a variety of locations throughout the WNY area.
