POSITION SUMMARY:

The Production Artist works with the Production Group Creative Team and Project Manager on assigned projects and executes mechanicals that meet industry standards as well as agency and brand standards. Projects include DM, POP, displays, ads, FSIs, OOH, web optimized assets and web banners.

Core job Functions:

• Understands client business and product offerings.
• Creates mechanicals from direction provided in varying methods including verbal, concept sketches, rough layouts, or tight layouts.
• Applies strong design principles for print creative touch points
• Inspects mechanical for technical integrity and packages according to department process.
• Communicates project related issues effectively and in timely manner according to department process.
• Delivers mechanicals using various delivery methods including traditional, automated and web-based.
• Creates mock-ups, comps and presentation boards.
• Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing situations.
• Understands relationships between scan, print and projected resolution issues.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
• 3-5+ years experience in related field preferred
• Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
• Proficient in current Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficiency in traditional mount room tools to create tangible deliverables.
• Must be detail oriented, dedicated, a self-motivator, and assertive.
• Must accept guidance and respond well to constructive criticism.
• Must communicate succinctly and in a professional manner.
