Job Description
Emergency Department
•Opened June 2012
•ED Beds: 17
•Shifts: 10 or 12 hour shifts
•Qualifications: six months previous experience working as an NP or PA in EM

Job Requirements
The Nurse Practitioner must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program that includes training for all age ranges of patients, and have a Texas nursing license that includes recognition by the TSBNE as an Advanced Practice Nurse. The Physician Assistant must be a graduate of a program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the AMA and certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants. Experience in the Emergency Department setting is preferred; experience in primary care is required if no Emergency Department experience.
