Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The CDS is responsible for reviewing medical records to facilitate the accurate representation of the severity of illness. This involves extensive record review, interaction with physicians, HIM professionals and nursing staff. Active participation in team meetings and education of staff in the Clinical Documentation Management Program (CDMP) process is a key role. Organization, analytical and writing skills are essential. Excellent time management skills are critical.
Skills/Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS: FT: 8a-4:30p. Current TN RN licensure/BSN preferred. Five years clinical nursing practice minimum, critical care or strong med/surg background.
