Job Description:                                 Database Coordinator

Must be able to travel to and attend events and meetings off-site or away from the hospital campus and provide own transportation

Department:                                         Foundation

                               

Responsible to:                                    Executive Director and coordinates with Fundraising Manager and

Accounting Department

 

Education/Training:                            Bachelor’s Degree Preferred OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Experience:                                           3-5 Years of Foundation Experience or Combination of Non-Profit Leadership. Significant previous experience in healthcare preferred.  Requires proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word. Etapestry Software preferred.   

 

Skills & Abilities:                  Position requires previous exposure to the fundraising enterprise.  Requires a strong aptitude for working with details, data management, and strategic thinking.  Requires ability to analyze data sets and make recommendations for growth.  A strong customer service orientation is required.  Must be able to travel to and attend events and meetings off-site or away from the hospital campus and provide own transportation.  Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for special events required.

 

Physical Requirements:                      Ability to work at computer, climb stairs, walk to other hospital departments, stand and bend for filing, light lifting required during special events preparation.

 

Environmental:                                    Works on medical campus most of the time, although position will require visits to outside volunteer meeting and special events.

 

Occupational:                                      Category III-Job involves tasks or procedures that have no exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials during the performance of duties.





Skills/Requirements

ESSENTIAL RESPONSBILITIES:

  1. Provides primary leadership in annual fund programs including donor acquisitions, stewardship, recognition and retention.                Provides primary leadership in database administration including system upgrades, maintenance of records integrity, data mining and analysis and all donor revenue entry.
  2. Provides primary interface with accounting department and Financial Edge software; ensuring accurate monthly deposits and reconciliations to financials.  Provides primary leadership on the creation of check requests and processing.  Provides primary leadership of all assistance fund applications and processes.
  3. Provides primary leadership on Foundation Brick and Paver Programs.
  4. Support Special Events of the Foundation with providing accurate mailing lists, revenue and expense records, and participants.
  5. Provides regular Foundation ambassadorship to employees within the hospital.
  6. Works effectively in a supportive role with all members of the hospital senior leadership team. Works with and supports Board members when called upon.
  7. Routinely recommends strategies for growth and efficiencies.
  8. Help set the standard for effective communication, problem solving, and motivation of others.
  9. Consistently demonstrates growth in professional fundraising practice.
  10. Actively participates in a professional organization.
  11. Performs other job related duties as assigned by Executive Director.
