Product Information Manager (PIM) Lead

As the Product Information Manager you will be responsible for the overall delivery of the Product Information Management (PIM) system that drives all of our publications and eCommerce sites. To be successful in this position you will possess a deep understanding of our PIM features, best practices, as well as importing and exporting data to surrounding systems. This position is also responsible for upgrades to our PIM, bug maintenance, user support and support of surrounding custom systems that augment our PIM (Agility Multichannel)

Your MAG Tribe:  In this position you will be an integral part of the eCommerce Department and will report to the Senior Manager of Application Development where you will focus on…

  • Data governance for PIM across all MRG brands
  • Wide and deep understanding of PIM across our industry as well as with our systems
  • Import and export of data using best practices
  • User and technical support of the PIM solution
  • Evaluate and maintain release roadmap for PIM solution

 

Taking the *Apex:   (*apex—the line a motorcycle must take through a turn to maximize speed, quality, efficiency, and thrill.)

  • Evaluate and measure PIM system effectiveness and report findings and updates to leadership including content inventories and gap analyses promoting continuous improvement.
  • Periodically and independently perform product information assignments such as collecting, organizing, preparing and uploading product information.
  • Process, format and revise data from various internal and external sources.
  • Other duties as assigned.

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering or a related field and 7+ years of exemplary development experience is required for this position.  Expert knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular programming language or application is necessary.  Knowledge of motorcycle parts and accessories is preferred.  Requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written; competent organizational skills; and effective interpersonal skills.  Previous experience in a retail and/or eCommerce environment is preferred.
