Job Descriptions

SDE Test

Unit testing and automated testing of database storage platform and applications. Infrastructure and configuration for testing various environments. Bug tracking and resolution management with developers. The role requires collaborating closely with software developers, replicating their environments.

Testing is on Linux servers, browsers, mobile devices and various databases.

Skills: Linux, Windows, Python, SQL, Javascript, Unit Testing frameworks

User Interface SDE

Utilizing and extending open source frameworks for user interfaces and building applications of those frameworks. Javascript is the target development language, but we develop mostly in TypeScript to give us the ability to manage large code bases more rationally. Strong object-oriented discipline for managing large codebases is essential. Applications center on clinical intelligence and decision making for clinicians and patients. These include scoring systems, early warning systems, recommendations and real-time reporting.

Storage Implementation SDE

Fast data storage updates and access are essential to managing operational data in a healthcare system. Also essential is the ability to scale data across petabytes of storage. The position will implement pluggable storage solutions that yield high read/write data throughput that scale. API development for access to the data as well as query support development.

Skills: C++, OpenSource database and storage systems, SQL, storage APIs, LevelDB/LSM

Concurrency SDE

Our applications use real-time data feeds from various sources. Processes are being generated from thousands of clients and applications need to respond and push data to the pertinent subscribers. The applications are generally running in browsers using full duplex communication over TCP. Experience required in developing and debugging large-scale concurrent applications and their processes.
