Job Description

Caring and compassionate health and human services professionals who have experience serving people with disabilities are encouraged to consider an exciting career opportunity with Liberty Healthcare Corporation.

Liberty Healthcare endeavors to establish a progressive new statewide system in Idaho which will assess children and adults who have intellectual and developmental disabilities and determine their eligibility for various publicly-funded and community-based health and human services.

In anticipation of a potential launch of this new program in the early summer, Liberty Healthcare is now accepting applications for newly-created “Assessor” positions.

These are field-based positions which allow for some work from home and require regular daily travel throughout the local region.

Assessors will serve a vital role for the program and will enjoy a wide array of responsibilities, including:

  • Traveling throughout the region and conducting in-person visits with clients in their residences and other settings
  • Assessing people who have autism and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Gathering and interpreting pertinent information from clients and caregivers
  • Assessing clients using standardized assessment tools (e.g. SIB-R, SIS, ICAP)
  • Determining client’s eligibility for various Medicaid-funded health and human services
  • Completing a high volume of reports and within established deadlines

Skills/Requirements

Well-qualified candidates will possess the following attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Social Work, Psychology or a related human services field
  • Minimum of one year of professional experience serving people who have autism and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Highly organized, self-motivated and able to be productive in an autonomous role
  • Ability to effectively use a smart phone, GPS, laptop and other remote office technology
  • Possess an insured vehicle in good working order and willingness to travel throughout the local region
  • Compassionate and committed to providing high quality service to clients who have disabilities and those who care for them
