Job Description

Prison Fellowship Ministries is seeking a part-time Program Specialist to join our Sacramento, CA team.  In this role you will engage, develop and serve volunteers, churches and other key constituents to ensure delivery of quality ministry to prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families.  Serve as a primary point of contact for PF constituent interaction with the ministry providing consistent quality customer service that grows constituent relationships with PF.   Working in a virtual environment, interact with volunteers, chaplains, DOC, general public, PF staff, and others to provide information, update records, handle communication, assess needs and provide materials, and provide or coordinate other services. Provide consulting to volunteers and other constituents delivering ministry to assist them in optimal application of ministry programs, training and materials to specific situations.  Perform a variety of project and administrative duties; remain abreast of ministry activities; write, edit and proof various communications; maintain accurate information in databases.





Skills/Requirements

  • 4+ years’ experience providing complex administrative support.
  • High School education required, Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills required; budgeting processes; Orthodox Christian Principles.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office; ability to learn in-house database.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to provide support from home-based office to remote staff and volunteer leaders. Ability to work with minimum supervision; highly motivated self-starter. Demonstrated ability to work cross-racially, cross-culturally, and cross-denominationally.
  • Satisfactory background  (PF does not discriminate against individuals with a prior criminal history).
